The Hart County Historical Society will host an Open House with Mayor Randall Curry as guest speaker. He will share his experiences as Horse Cave’s first black mayor. COMMUNITY TRAIL PLANNING WORKSHOP
The public is invited to attend. Come learn more about the trails project and give your input on local outdoor recreational opportunities. The workshop will be led by a National Park Service Consultant and features speakers from the KY Transportation Cabinet and KY Adventure Tourism. The Workshop will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Hart County Fairgrounds.

VIEWING PARTY FOR KY SEGMENT OF TRAVELS WITH DARLEY
Help us celebrate the airing of the Horse Cave portion of the Kentucky segment of the nationally syndicated PBS series Travels with Darley. Party begins at 4:30 at Turtlelini’s Pizza and Pasta. Show begins at 5 pm. Refreshments.

CAVELAND REGION KYAEA SCHOOL ART SHOW
Artwork for the Caveland Region KyAEA (Kentucky Art Education Association) High School Show will be open to view by appointment Monday, March 7 through Saturday, March 12, at the historic Thomas House, 111 East Main Street, in downtown Horse Cave. Closing reception will be Sunday, March 13 at 1-3 pm with award ceremony at 2 pm. Best of Show and 1st place works will go onto the All-State KyAEA show. 24th ANNUAL SPRING CONSIGNMENT AUCTION
Hosted by the Amish community. Includes a wide variety of tools, framing equipment, antiques, plants, trees, tack, collectibles and more. Begin with an all-you-can-eat breakfast from 7 am to 10 am. CHERRY BLOSSOM COLORFUL RUN/WALK
A 5K run/walk in downtown Munfordville. This is not a timed event --- just a lot of fun. You will start out in a white shirt and end with a rainbow of color on you. FUN, Fun, Fun!!! Pre-registration by March 7 is $30 for individuals and $25 for team members (4 or more to a team).Registration after March 7 is $35 for individuals and $30 for team members. A day of gardening demonstrations, music, craft booths, historic displays, book signings, art displays, refreshments, part of the Battle for the Bridge Historic Civil War Preserve at 324 Charlie Dowling Road near Munfordville. 9 am to 4 pm. SPELEOFEST 2016
Hosted by the Louisville Grotto and held on Memorial Day Weekend, this event is a chance to camp, cave, hike, or just kick back and enjoy the weekend. Come for a day or the whole weekend. Each year the second weekend in September is dedicated to the county’s Civil War heritage. HORSE CAVE HERITAGE FESTIVAL
Horse Cave celebrates its rich heritage each September with a local festival. The event is particularly well known for its musical entertainment, from rock & roll to gospel. More than 20 bands are scheduled for continuous free performances on 2 outdoor stages. Other activities include: antique cars & farm machinery, local crafts, agricultural exhibits, food booths, kids arcade, historic walking tours, and more. HILL OF TERROR in Bonnieville
The largest haunted attraction in Kentucky is back for the fifth year of frights on their desolate 100-acre property, everything you were ever afraid of will be coming to life. Take I-65 exit 71 Bonnieville to Priceville Road (KY 728). Open every Friday and Saturday dark thirty until midnight. Not recommended for small children. Expect to scream for more than an hour.
